A Pink Panta event report
WEDDING AT THE CHOCOLATE MUSEUM.PREPARED AND ATTENTIVE.
A wedding in the upper event area of Cologne’s Chocolate Museum: this performance shows how access, technical coordination and attentive support are part of an evening of music.
Equipment that fits in the lift
Pink Panta was booked as a party band with audio and lighting equipment and technical support. The equipment had to be transported to the upper event area. Lift and door dimensions were therefore recorded beforehand using the venue questionnaire.
The equipment was repacked into smaller, suitable cases. This addressed the transport route during preparation instead of leaving it to be resolved during delivery.
Check technical conditions again
Before the event, Marcel reviewed the details with the venue again. A hazer was not permitted for that booking, so the unit stayed at home.
That decision related to the specific conditions of this wedding. It is not a current technical assessment of the venue.
Bridging a gap in the music
Returning to the event area early, Marcel noticed that no background music was playing yet. The separately booked external DJ had not arrived. Marcel quickly provided suitable background music from his laptop.
The external DJ took over later. This booking also included connecting a magician’s audio as part of the team’s technical responsibilities.
Continue the evening together
Following an unplanned interruption, Marcel and the team discussed with the couple how the celebration should continue. Once they had agreed, the party resumed, and Pink Panta played two further live sets.
Preparation and attentive communication helped everyone return to celebrating after the interruption. For your date too, we coordinate the schedule and responsibilities in advance.
Frequently asked questions
BEFORE YOU PLAN.
What was Pink Panta’s role at this wedding?
Pink Panta was booked as a party band with audio and lighting equipment and technical support. Marcel coordinated our own musical and technical services.
Was the DJ booked through Pink Panta?
No. In this case, an external DJ was booked separately. Providing background music at short notice was help in this specific situation, not a generally included DJ replacement service.
Do the venue conditions described still apply today?
This report concerns that particular booking. Access, equipment and conditions are checked with the venue again for a new event.
