Grand Hall, Casino and Erich-Brost-Pavillon share the same World Heritage site, yet each places different demands on a live band. We have played at all three venues several times. This experience helps us ask the right questions early: how large will the dance floor be, where will the band perform, and how will the equipment get there?
When the evening begins, the focus turns to your guests. We play pop, rock and chart hits, respond to the mood and invite everyone to sing along. Whether it is a company event, gala, wedding or birthday, we help you choose a musical format that suits the occasion and your audience.
We have played at Zollverein. Ready to plan your evening.
Venue knowledge from many performances
Two appearances at Grand Hall, several at Casino and more than ten at Erich-Brost-Pavillon: we know more than the views. Our experience of loading, stage positioning and audio production informs our advice.
The audience is part of the show
Our professionally trained musicians perform in established core teams. Without backing tracks or music stands, there is room for eye contact, spontaneous solos and choruses your guests can sing with us.
From the hall to the rooftop pavilion
A large hall needs a different PA approach from a glass rooftop pavilion. We coordinate musicians, production crew and venue. An additionally booked DJ knows our set list as well as your preferences and no-go songs.

A gala evening at Grand Hall can start elegantly and end with a full dance floor. At a company party at Casino, colleagues with different musical tastes should all feel included. We discuss which songs suit your guests and use that to shape the live sets.

Our party band combines familiar pop and rock songs with current chart hits. The running order stays flexible so we can respond to the atmosphere. We agree preferences and no-go songs in advance; you can add a DJ for breaks and the party after the band.
Celebrate on a grand scale. Keep it personal. Live music for your occasion.
Corporate event at Zollverein
From our own experience, we recommend Grand Hall for large company events. Casino offers a different, restaurant-led setting, while the view is part of the experience at the pavilion. We advise on the line-up, performance area and equipment for your booked space.
Galas and award evenings
At an awards ceremony, the programme and party need to fit together. Our Grand Hall film shows Pink Panta at the European Bridal Awards. For your gala, we plan the live sets around dinner, presentations and the start of the dancing.
A celebration for your favourite people
For a private celebration in Essen, your favourite music and shared moments take centre stage. The evening can build musically from a relaxed reception to an energetic party. We consider the room, guest count and your preferred band size together.

These accounts come from our own performances and show what has worked well during preparation. Equipment, access and responsibilities can change, so we confirm the details again for your date. Room sizes and operator information are linked separately.
Grand Hall Zollverein: a grand stage for your company evening
We have performed at Grand Hall twice. It is one of the largest event venues we know first-hand as a cover and show band. With a suitably sized concert PA, it provides an impressive setting for large company events and is one of our recommendations in Essen.
Our performances and the Bridal event film
The Bridal event film shown on this page was recorded during our performance at Grand Hall. It connects the venue with a real impression of Pink Panta at an awards party. European Bridal Week is an international bridal and eveningwear trade show; the related EBW Awards are the awards ceremony. The organiser also reports on Pink Panta’s Grand Hall performance.

Loading, the team and production arrangements
At our events, vehicles could approach the unloading area closely. Despite the venue’s size, we found the rolling routes pleasantly short and equipment handling straightforward. Backstage rooms were available. Arrangements with the venue contacts were professional, and our clients were very satisfied.
The main Grand Hall is on the upper floor. We therefore confirm the exact loading route, access and time slots for your event. The well-equipped production partner provides a professional basis for collaboration. If you would like to book equipment through us, we first agree this with the venue: the operator requires prior technical coordination for external equipment.
Putting capacity and budget into context
Zollverein lists capacities for the 1,800 m² hall including 750 at round banquet tables, 1,000 at rectangular tables and 2,400 for standing receptions. These are different layouts, not capacities that can be added together. The stage, dance floor and event programme must fit your actual floor plan.
Some of our clients have told us of a correspondingly substantial budget for the venue and its production partner. This is their experience, not current pricing information. We recommend obtaining specific quotes for venue hire, equipment and additional services early.
Casino Zollverein: company parties amid industrial heritage
We have provided live music for company celebrations at Casino Zollverein several times. Smaller in scale than Grand Hall, it combines the site’s industrial history with a restaurant and events operation. It is a venue we know from our own performances for evenings of dining and live music.
Our experience and the available spaces
We know Casino from several events. Establishing which room you have booked should be an early part of planning the band: the restaurant and event hall differ in size and possible layouts.
The operator lists events for 15 to 150 people in the restaurant and up to 400 in the adjoining Halle 9. A foyer and summer garden offer further options. We discuss the right combination of band, tables and dance floor using the actual floor plan.
Erich-Brost-Pavillon: a panoramic party that rewards preparation
We have played at Erich-Brost-Pavillon more than ten times over the past ten years, making it one of our most frequently visited venues. The view is wonderful, especially with the city lights after dark. We have enjoyed good food and a very friendly team, and we love returning. Careful planning is especially valuable here to turn that beautiful view into a relaxed celebration with live music.
How our many performances help your planning
We have identified a stage position that has worked particularly well in our setups with regard to reflections. We also draw on experience to plan delivery and building access. In our free consultation, we share these practical tips and match the musical format to the room, guest count and your programme.
We are enthusiastic about the venue and working with its team. At the same time, in our experience the glass-walled space is one of the most acoustically demanding rooms we play. With an experienced engineer who knows the pavilion and carefully coordinated audio production, we have achieved very good results here.
Coordinate the goods lift, access and parking early
At our performances, the goods lift took considerable time for each trip. The production crew and musicians should therefore arrive within the same agreed delivery window wherever possible. If everyone arrives separately, the contact may need to be called back repeatedly to provide building and lift access, adding waiting time.
We agree an available contact, a phone number for access and enough time for the entire equipment transfer. A venue staff member cannot automatically remain at the lift throughout a long, staggered delivery. A shared schedule makes things easier for both teams.
At previous events, announced parking spaces were not always available as planned. We therefore reconfirm the unloading zone and actual parking spaces, allowing time after unloading and a backup parking option. This reflects our past experience; we agree current arrangements with the venue.
Plan the PA around the glass surfaces
The large windows create the special view and can also strongly reflect sound. Simply increasing speaker volume does not solve that. In this room, we pay particular attention to PA position and direction, controlled stage volume and careful tuning by our engineer.
Depending on the setup, our established approach for rooms like this includes several smaller subwoofers. Their size alone does not solve room acoustics: placement, levels and tuning in the actual room are crucial. We plan the PA individually and recommend discussing the production setup with us early.
Cover band line-ups: four, five or more musicians
YOUR BAND SIZE.
Venue size alone does not determine your band. At Grand Hall, we also consider the impact on a large stage; in the pavilion, available space and controlled stage volume matter especially. Listen to the line-ups and talk to us about your room.
Quartet. All live.
Female vocals, guitar, drums and keyboards with bass played live at the same time by the keyboardist’s left hand. That gives you a full band performance with just four musicians.
Quintet. Two voices.
A male singer joins the four-piece band. Two lead singers take turns and perform duets, adding variety to your corporate event, wedding or party.
Larger lineup
Additional singers, saxophone or brass can extend the band by arrangement. Meet the people behind the music and discuss your preferred line-up with us.
Meet the musiciansBand and DJ for your whole evening
3 × 45 minutes of live performance form the starting point. A fourth 45-minute set can be booked separately. The standard optional DJ booking covers seven hours, usually including the live sets.
A special theme for your evening?
With the optional Chameleon concept we develop a coordinated programme for your idea. We agree on its scope and musical possibilities personally.
From unloading to the final encore.
An address alone is not a setup plan on the Zollverein site. We confirm the booked room, vehicle access, entry for equipment and musicians, and agreed time slots. At the pavilion this includes lift logistics; at Grand Hall it includes coordination with the production partner.
Two trained full-time office staff support you with experience from more than 2,000 event plans. After the contract is agreed, we use online questionnaires for musical preferences, no-go songs and the schedule. We discuss outstanding venue questions with the relevant contacts, and provide contracts and invoices digitally.
Two days before the performance, we make a final check together. Loading, the soundcheck, dinner, speeches, live sets and an optional DJ should be clear to everyone involved. Our free consultation helps you account for your Essen venue’s particular requirements well before then.
Audio and lighting for your cover band
YOUR LIGHTING. YOUR STAGE.
The spacious Grand Hall and the glass pavilion need different production concepts. We size the audio and lighting for the room, dance floor and music programme, and agree responsibilities with the venue. L and XL are examples from our S-to-XXL production range; the choice is made for your specific event.
The agreed equipment package includes the PA, stage lighting, stage equipment, a professional audio engineer, setup and dismantling. The band and DJ are selected separately; room lighting and stage platforms remain optional extras.

Before the first song Answers for your planning.
Which Essen venues have you performed at yourselves?
We have performed twice at Grand Hall, several times at Casino Zollverein and more than ten times over the past ten years at Erich-Brost-Pavillon. The three accounts on this page are based on this first-hand experience.
Was the Bridal film really recorded at Grand Hall?
Yes. It shows our performance there at the European Bridal Awards. The edited film uses added music rather than original live audio. There are also six music videos on this page to help you listen to our different line-ups.
What matters especially at Erich-Brost-Pavillon?
Allow enough time for the goods lift and agree delivery arrangements, contacts and parking. The glass surfaces make audio production demanding. We bring experience of stage positioning and a production approach tailored to the room.
Can we book the band, DJ and equipment through you in Essen?
Yes, we can plan and quote these services together for your event, taking venue rules and existing equipment into account. At Grand Hall, external equipment must be agreed in advance with the operator and production partner.
How much live music is planned for our evening?
Our standard is three live sets of 45 minutes each. A fourth set and an additional DJ can be arranged. We coordinate sets and breaks with dinner, presentations and your event schedule.
What should I tell you about my Essen event?
Send us the date, occasion, approximate guest count and exact venue including the booked room. Your preferred band size, a possible DJ and any existing production arrangements are also useful. You receive an individual quote; our band pricing page explains the general cost factors.
