At Alte Papierfabrik, a company evening can combine a restaurant visit with leisure activities. At Wuppertaler Brauhaus, the first glimpse of the former swimming pool is a surprise in itself. We know both venues from the stage and understand the preparation behind a relaxed party.
For your celebration, what matters is the interaction with your guests: a familiar chorus, a spontaneous extension, dancing together. Our live band shapes the music around your audience. From a compact quartet to two lead voices in a quintet or a larger line-up, we tailor the performance to your evening.
Plenty of experience. Put to work for your party.
One venue, many musical ideas
At Alte Papierfabrik, we have delivered formats ranging from a DJ with singer and saxophone to an eight-piece band with a DJ. This experience helps us advise you on a line-up that suits your guest count, available space and celebration.
Live music with eye contact
Our professional musicians work in established core teams, without backing tracks or music stands. This lets us respond to one another and your guests, sing choruses together and develop the party as we play.
Prepared before the first note
Stage size, load-in routes and collaboration with the production partner all contribute to a successful performance. We clarify these details in advance, including the soundcheck, a place for breaks and the handover to the DJ.

From the first dance set to the final chorus.
At a company evening in the Papierfabrik, dinner can turn into a lively party. At the Brauhaus, the unusual setting adds another dimension. We discuss which songs will bring your guests together: pop, rock and chart hits form our programme, and your preferences and no-go songs guide the selection.

The set list remains flexible. When a song goes down particularly well, we respond to the mood. You can add a DJ for music during band breaks and after the final live set.
A team evening. A wedding. Your occasion for live music.
Company party at the Papierfabrik
Alte Papierfabrik is one of our favourite Wuppertal venues for company events. In our experience, it can also accommodate celebrations with more than 200 guests. Leisure activities, dinner and a live party can form one shared evening; we confirm the specific room arrangement with the venue.
A wedding with an unusual setting
Looking for a wedding venue beyond the traditional ballroom? The Brauhaus also offers separate rooms for weddings and family celebrations, according to its operator. We plan where the band will perform and how reception, dinner and dancing fit together musically.
Birthdays and anniversaries
A private celebration should feel personal to you. Tell us who you are inviting and which music connects you. Together we choose the band size and discuss whether a relaxed opening or an energetic live party suits your evening.
Two distinctive spaces. Our experience on site.
Here we share our own performance experience in Wuppertal. The practical advice comes from those events; we check equipment and arrangements again for your date. Additional history and room information comes from the linked venue websites.
Alte Papierfabrik: almost ten evenings, many line-ups
We feel at home at Alte Papierfabrik after many performances. Its experienced event contact understands working with bands, and we have found the organisation excellent. It is one of our top Wuppertal venues for company parties, with a restaurant, bowling and today’s 3D blacklight mini-golf all under one roof.
From DJ with live musicians to an eight-piece band
We have been booked here almost ten times with different concepts: DJ with singer and saxophonist, four-, five- and seven-piece party bands, and an eight-piece band with DJ. We usually brought our own audio and lighting equipment. This range shows how varied an evening at the Papierfabrik can be.
We really enjoy performing here. At our previous events, we had no noise-related difficulties with neighbours. We still agree the volume and playing times with the venue for every booking.
Plan the stage and load-in route in advance
Stage risers are available on site. The standard area we encountered was too small for more than three musicians. For a party band, the stage extension and layout therefore need to be agreed in advance. The required area depends on the chosen line-up.
The setup also needs a realistic schedule: the route from the equipment van to the stage involves several corners and doors. This takes longer than loading directly beside the stage and needs to be included in the plan.
Coordinate the PA and a place for breaks
We found the installed audio and lighting equipment more geared towards DJ evenings. In the arrangement we encountered, there was no audience-facing PA to the left and right of the stage. With live microphones, this can increase the risk of feedback. We therefore plan a suitable front-of-house PA and check which existing equipment can be integrated.
There was no dedicated backstage room at our performances. A table in the restaurant beside the bowling area can be reserved for breaks by arrangement. We also organise a suitable place to change in advance. Knowing these routes and arrangements helps us coordinate them with the venue team early.
Wuppertaler Brauhaus: a party in a former swimming pool
Think you have seen every kind of brewery restaurant? Wuppertaler Brauhaus is worth a look. The building opened in 1882 as the Barmer public baths. Following closure in 1993 and conversion, it was given new life in 1997. The former pool hall remains part of its extraordinary atmosphere, a surprising sight when you step inside.
Our five-piece band with DJ at the Brauhaus
We performed at the Brauhaus with our five-piece band and a DJ booked through us. The venue’s partner company supplied audio and lighting. We found the collaboration very positive: the technical team did an excellent job.
In our experience, guests respond very well to the unusual setting. The visible traces of its former use as a swimming pool are precisely what we like about it. We enjoy distinctive places like this and are happy to perform here, for a party with a real element of surprise.
Our personal view of the room acoustics
We found the room acoustically demanding for live music. This is our personal assessment from our own performance, rather than a general judgement of every concert at the Brauhaus. In this distinctive hall, we recommend close coordination with the production partner and enough time for a careful soundcheck.
Speaker position and direction, microphones, stage volume and DJ integration should all be discussed in advance. Good technical collaboration is especially valuable here. This preparation helps make the unusual venue an intentional part of the event concept.
Rooms and event options according to the operator
The operator lists an overall event capacity of up to 1,200 people, plus a separate Brausaal for 180 and Brauzimmer for 45. These figures describe different event spaces and do not replace a room plan for your celebration with a band and dance floor.
The venue offers company parties, corporate anniversaries, family celebrations and weddings. It also provides contacts for buffets or menus, staging, lighting and presentation equipment. We agree which services and rooms are available for your date together with the venue.
Cover band line-ups: four, five or more musicians
YOUR BAND SIZE.
At the Papierfabrik, we have performed with four, five, seven and eight musicians; at the Brauhaus, our five-piece band took the stage. We consider space, music and guests together when choosing your line-up. DJ Plus with vocals and saxophone can also be a suitable alternative.
Quartet. All live.
Female vocals, guitar, drums and keyboards with bass played live at the same time by the keyboardist’s left hand. That gives you a full band performance with just four musicians.
Quintet. Two voices.
A male singer joins the four-piece band. Two lead singers take turns and perform duets, adding variety to your corporate event, wedding or party.
Larger lineup
Additional singers, saxophone or brass can extend the band by arrangement. Meet the people behind the music and discuss your preferred line-up with us.
Meet the musiciansBand and DJ for your whole evening
3 × 45 minutes of live performance form the starting point. A fourth 45-minute set can be booked separately. The standard optional DJ booking covers seven hours, usually including the live sets.
A special theme for your evening?
With the optional Chameleon concept we develop a coordinated programme for your idea. We agree on its scope and musical possibilities personally.
A good setup begins with the right arrangements.
In Wuppertal, we plan with you from load-in to the final encore. At the Papierfabrik, this includes stage space, the winding equipment route and a place for musicians to take a break. At the Brauhaus, we coordinate the production partnership and allow sufficient soundcheck time. These details are assigned clear responsibilities and time slots.
Two trained full-time office staff support the preparations, drawing on experience from planning more than 2,000 events. After the contract is signed, online questionnaires collect your musical preferences, no-go songs and schedule details. We clarify venue questions with the relevant contacts, while contracts and invoices are provided digitally.
Two days before the performance, we review the arrangements with you again. This includes load-in, setup, dinner, speeches, live sets and the handover to an optional DJ. Everyone involved knows what is planned and when, leaving you free to look forward to your guests.
Audio and lighting for your cover band
YOUR LIGHTING. YOUR STAGE.
At Alte Papierfabrik, we usually use our own audio and lighting for band performances; at the Brauhaus, we worked with the venue’s partner company. What matters is the right solution for the space. Packages L and XL illustrate possible setups within our S-to-XXL range.
The agreed equipment package includes the PA, stage lighting, stage equipment, a professional audio engineer, setup and dismantling. The band and DJ are selected separately; room lighting and stage platforms remain optional extras.

After setup, the audio check and coordination, you can also use the microphones for speeches; presentation audio can be connected after a technical assessment. Before your event a few useful answers.
How often have you performed at Alte Papierfabrik?
Almost ten times, with different formats: DJ with singer and saxophonist, four-, five- and seven-piece bands, and an eight-piece band with DJ. We usually supplied our own audio and lighting. We confirm the specific stage size and equipment for each event.
How much space does the party band need at the Papierfabrik?
In our experience, the existing stage risers need to be extended appropriately for a larger band. We also allow for instruments, equipment and safe access. Tell us your preferred line-up so we can agree the required area with the venue.
Was Wuppertaler Brauhaus really a swimming pool?
Yes. The official history describes the Barmer public baths opening in 1882, closing in 1993 and being converted for new use in 1997. The recognisable former pool hall is an important part of the venue’s character.
What do you focus on for a live performance at the Brauhaus?
We performed there with a five-piece band and DJ and personally found the acoustics demanding. We therefore discuss the PA, stage volume and DJ handover with the production partner and allow enough time for the soundcheck. Our collaboration with the partner company was very positive.
Can a DJ continue after the band at our Wuppertal event?
Yes, a DJ can be booked in addition to the band and can also cover the breaks. We coordinate playing times, connections and technical responsibilities together. We have already delivered band-and-DJ concepts at both venues described here.
What information helps you prepare my Wuppertal quote?
Please tell us the date, occasion, venue and approximate guest count. If you already have a band size, DJ or production setup in mind, include that too. For the Papierfabrik, details of the planned stage help; for the Brauhaus, the booked room and production contact are useful.
